IceGators remain busy in community

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators are getting into the full swing of things on the ice with 13 games in November, but they still have time for the rest of Acadiana.

Tomorrow afternoon, an IceGator will be appearing at First Baptist Church of Breaux Bridge's Teaching & Learning Program, talking about life as a hockey player.

Friday, Clawd will be at Downtown Alive to kick off the Toys for Tots Drive. Cox Media and the IceGators are combining later this month for a super deal to help Toys for Tots. Starting Saturday, Nov. 29, anyone bringing a new toy to the Cajundome box office on game day will receive $2 off ANY ticket in the building. This offer goes through Monday, Dec. 22, which is the Teddy Bear Toss.

Next week, two players will be reading to students at Prairie Elementary on Tuesday. Thursday, the players and Clawd will be appearing at Cankton Elementary.

The IceGators are on the road Friday against Pensacola at 7:05 p.m. Louisiana plays host to expansion Texas on Saturday at 7:05 p.m., then Pensacola Sunday at 4:05 p.m. Saturday is Southwest Medical Center Magnetic Schedule Night and Boy Scout Night. Sunday, Bennigan's presents Skate with the ‘Gators after the game.

Individual tickets for all games, starting at just $10 for adults and $9 for kids (ages 2-12 in any level), are now on sale at the Cajundome Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets. Full season ticket packages, half season plans and Ice Packs are still on sale and can be purchased by calling (337) 234-4423. Season ticketholders get great benefits like the concession item of the game and merchandise discounts. Full season packages start at just $288, while children ages 4-12 can have season tickets for only $225 in any level, including rink side, with an adult purchase.
