
Grizzlies Home Woes Continue

The Utah Grizzlies had a sparse week on the ice playing just one game on Thursday versus Edmonton. For the first time since opening night, the Grizzlies scored the opening goal of the game as Joe Callahan's shot on the power play was re-directed past Tyler Moss giving Utah a 1-0 lead. Edmonton would answer though by rattling off four unanswered, three of which were on the power play. For the game, Utah allowed three power play goals on four opportunities. Callahan and Fredrik Sjostrom drew assists on Sonnenberg's goal. David LeNeveu started his third straight game and made 25 saves.

Peter White Joins Grizzlies
~On Sunday, the Grizzlies acquired center Peter White from the Philadelphia Phantoms in exchange for left wing Jon Sim. White has scored eight points (2-6 â8) this season in 10 games with the Phantoms and is a two-time Calder Cup Champion and a three-time AHL scoring leader. White has played in 933 career games including 220 NHL games. White leaves Philadelphia as the franchises' all-time leader in games played, goals, assists and points. Sim had scored two goals with two assists in 10 games with Utah.
Grizzlies Get Busy With Five-Game Home Stand
~Utah takes on Milwaukee this week in the second game of a five-game home stand that has the team 0-1 thus far after last week's loss to Edmonton. Utah has two games with Milwaukee and two games with San Antonio remaining on the home stand. Over the next 33 days, the Grizzlies will be extremely bust playing 19 times (13- home, 6- road).
The Defending Calder Cup Champs Head Back To Town:
~The Grizzlies will be hosting the Milwaukee Admirals (8-1-1-1) twice this week marking the third and fourth times this season the teams have met. Milwaukee has owned the match-up recently going 16-6 versus Utah over the last two plus seasons. This year, the Grizzlies are 0-2 versus Milwaukee losing 1-0 in the âE' Center on October 29 and 6-2 in the Bradley Center on October 30.
