THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS...
The Manitoba Moose (Vancouver) are 2nd in the North Division with 22 points and have an 10-4-0-2 record. The Moose are riding a two-game winning streak and are coming off a 2-1 win over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks... This will be the 3rd and 4th meeting between these two teams. Both teams split the first two games in St. John's last month... The Moose are ranked 5th in the AHL while on the powerplay at 21.3% and are 11th overall while killing powerplays at 85.7%... The Manitoba Moose lead the AHL in powerplay goals scored (19) and are 2nd in the league in total goals scored (52)... Newfoundland native Jason King is 3rd in the AHL in total points (20) and leads the league in goals (13).
The Edmonton Roadrunners (Edmonton) are currently 1st overall in the AHL with 23 points and have a 10-3-2-1 record... This will be the third of eight meetings this season between the Canadian rivals. The Roadrunners are ranked 19th overall in the AHL with the man advantage at 13.3 % and are 14th overall while playing short handed at 84.6%... Right winger Tony Salmelainen leads Edmonton with 16 points (7G,9A) and is a +10 in 16 games this season... Goaltender Tyler Moss has a 7-2-1 record, 2 shutouts, a 2.06 GAA and a .925 save percentage... This will be the Maple Leafs first visit to Edmonton this season.

J.F. Racine (G): Racine recorded back to back wins against Chicago this past weekend. Racine has four straight wins during the team's five game winning streak.
Ian White (D): White has six points, all assists, in his last five games. Whte had four assists last Saturday vs Edmonton.
Jeremy Williams (F): Scored the game-winning shoot out goal last Saturday vs the Chicago Wolves. Leafs won the game 2-1.
Harold Druken (LW): Druken had a four game goal streak (4- 4=8) snapped Saturday against Chicago.
Kyle Wellwood (Center): Wellwood has 14 points (7G,7A) and is a +7 in his last 14 games.
NEXT WEEK'S OPPONENTS...
The St. John's Maple Leafs visit the Edmonton Roadrunners on November 23. The game will be broadcast LIVE on radio NL and www.sjmapleleafs.ca at 10:30pm (NT).
The Maple Leafs will visit the Hamilton Bulldogs for the first time this season on November 26 and 27. Game times are 9PM and 8:30PM respectively.
MAPLE LEAFS PLAYER OF THE WEEK...
The St. John's Maple Leafs have selected goaltender Jean Francois Racine as the Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, November 14th. In two games last week Racine posted a 2-0-0-0 record, a 1.00 GAA and a .971 save percentage.
Racine stopped 68 of 70 shots he faced and was selected the 1st star in both games. On Friday, Racine backstopped the Maple Leafs to their fourth win in a row at home by stopping 26 of 27 Chicago shots. The next evening, Racine stopped 42 of 43 shots he faced to record his fourth victory of the season and help extend St. John's winning streak to five games.
Racine was originally Toronto's 4th choice, 90th overall in 2000. Racine has been nominated by the Maple Leafs for the CCM Vector/ AHL Player of the Week for 2004-05.
THIS WEEK IN LEAFS HISTORY...
November 17, 2001 - Paul Healey scores the winner with less than seven minutes left to propel the Leafs past the Saint John Flames 3-2 at Mile One.
November 14, 1997 - Nathan Dempsey and Mike Kennedy each score twice to lead the Leafs to a 7-4 win at Providence.
November 15, 1995 - Kent Manderville' s goal at the 4:32 mark of overtime lifts the hometown Leafs past the Oilers 5-4, stretching their unbeaten streak to a franchise record 13 games at 11-0-2. St. John's lead the overall standings on this date with a 13-3-2 slate, the club' s best start in history.
