Norfolk Admirals News Release
NORFOLK, VA â Last week, the Admirals played four games in four venues over five days. They started the week in Binghamton, where they defeated the Senators 4-2 on Wednesday, November 10. Excellent goaltending by Craig Anderson led the Admirals to a 4-2 victory over Albany two nights later. Bridgeport scored three unanswered goals in the third period on Saturday, defeating Norfolk 3-2. Sunday's battle between #1 Philadelphia and #2 Norfolk ended in a 3-2 overtime decision for the Phantoms.
Norfolk plays three games this week at home before heading out on the road for two weeks.
STANDINGS
Norfolk is currently second in the East with 18 points (8-5-1-1). Philadelphia (10-2-0-0) holds sole possession of first place with 20 points. Third place is occupied by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (6-4-2-2, 16 points), followed by Bridgeport (7-6-0-0), Albany (6-6-1-1) and Binghamton (6-6-1-1) with 14 points apiece and Hershey (4-8-1-0), in last place, with nine points.

ADMIRALS NOTEBOOK
· G Craig Anderson is tied for most wins (7) in the league.
· D Marty Wilford recorded the Admirals' first shorthanded goal on November
10, at Binghamton.
· LW Rene Bourque leads all rookies in GWG (2) and is tied for second among
rookies in total goals (6).
· D Anton Babchuk recorded his first goal of the season November 10, at
Binghamton, and picked up his second goal in the Admirals' next game, on
Friday, November 12, at Albany.
· Mike Brown recorded his first point (assist) as an Admiral on Friday,
November 12, at Albany.
· Having scored eight power play goals on their recent road trip (November
6-14), Norfolk's road power play percentage has gone from near last place to
fifth place (22.7) in the league.
· Last week, two of the Admirals' goals were knocked into the net by the
opposing team.
· On November 12, Norfolk picked up a single game league leading nine majors
and 115 total PIM.
· The first and last Admirals' goals in the win against Albany on November
12 were unassisted.
