Salmon Kings Back

Utah and Victoria split two preseason games in October with the Grizzlies winning 4-1 on October 13 at the Acord Ice Center. Victoria won the first evening 3-2, October 12 in Park City.

Grizzlies Back

Utah returns to the E-Center this weekend after playing six of their first eight games of the year on the road.

So Far At The E-Center

The Grizzlies at 2-0 on home ice, will look to continue their early home success with the Salmon Kings. The Grizzlies are averaging 4.5 goals-per-game on E-Center ice.

Late Bloomers

Utah has scored 21 of their 23 goals this season following the first period.

Streaking Grizzlies

Scott Burt has a six-game scoring streak with five goals and five assists during that span. Andy Sertich has one goal and three assists in his last two games.

Division Battles

Utah opens the season with 10 of their first 12 games versus fellow West Division opponents. Utah's weekend series in Las Vegas is their only Pacific Division action until after Thanksgiving.

Affiliation Adds Another Forward

Trevor Smith was assigned to the team Wednesday from the Grizzlies and Islanders AHL affiliate in Bridgeport. He appeared in four early season games for the Sound Tigers and tallied one assist in his first three Utah games. Utah now has 12 players on their roster with ties to the Islanders organization.

Now Boarding For Non-Stop Service To Bridgeport

Ryan Kinasewich, Utah's fifth all-time leading scorer and the Grizzlies all-time leading scorer in the ECHL, was recalled to the Grizzlies and Islanders AHL affiliate in Bridgeport Saturday. In his Sound Tigers debut Sunday, he recorded the game-winning goal in the team's 3-0 defeat of Norfolk. The left wing had five goals and two assists in seven games for Utah, including his fourth Utah hat trick Friday.
