Wranglers Split With Utah, Head Out For Five Game Road Swing

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® posted a 1-1-0 record last week. On Friday night, Utah beat Las Vegas 8-5 at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers answered back, beating the Grizzlies 5-1 on Saturday night.

The Wranglers will now embark on a five-game road trip with stops in Phoenix and Bakersfield. Las Vegas will play at 6:11 pm (PST) on Saturday and Sunday in Phoenix against the RoadRunners. The following week, the Wranglers will play three games in Bakersfield against the Condors. Las Vegas will then return home for six straight home games, starting with Phoenix on Tuesday, November 20th at 7:05 pm.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Utah Grizzlies 8-5 on Friday night in front of 5,163 fans at the Orleans Arena. Grizzlies Ryan Kinasewich and Michael Haley each registered a hat trick as Utah scored the highest total of goals for an opposing team at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas history. Winger Bruce Mulherin scored a goal and added two assists in the defeat. Forward Adam Cracknell and defenseman Jason Jozsa each scored a goal and added an assist. Goalie John Curry played only 40 minutes before he was pulled in favor of Tim Boron. Curry stopped 17 of 22 Utah shots, while Boron suffered the loss with two saves on five shots in 20 minutes of action.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Utah Grizzlies 5-1 on Saturday night in front of a season-high 5,804 fans at the Orleans Arena. Rookie Curtis Fraser made his debut with three assists in the victory. Goalie Tim Boron made his first start in net for Las Vegas, stopping 24 of 25 Utah shots. Forwards Brandon Kaleniecki, Adam Cracknell, Tyler Mosienko and defenseman Jason Krischuk each scored in the Las Vegas victory. Captain Peter Ferraro dished out two assists.

The RoadRunners return only four players from last year's squad. The most notable additions include center Daniel Sisca, former Wrangler Sean O'Connor, left wing Justin Maiser and center Scott Kelman. Sisca leads the team in points with four goals and four assists. Maiser has six goals in his first seven games. Maiser has been to the Kelly Cup Finals two years in a row, winning the Kelly cup with Alaska in 2006. O'Connor played two seasons in Las Vegas before a trade sent him to Phoenix this summer. In his first seven games with the RoadRunners, O'Connor has four goals and three assists. Kelman, an experienced centerman, has four assists in his first seven games. Goalie Cody Rudkowsky is 2-2-0 with a 3.28 goals against average.
