ELLIS WATCH

Chalk up another shutout for former Steelheads goalie Dan Ellis, now a Nashville Predator, recording his second in a 3-0 win over Vancouver on Nov. 1. He recorded his first NHL shutout on Oct. 25, in a 3-0 win over Atlanta. He's now 4-0 on the season. Ellis is the only Steelheads player to have played in an NHL game in the same season as he played for the Steelheads. Ellis made his NHL debut with Dallas on Feb. 18, 2004 and made 25 saves in the Stars 4-3 win at Los Angeles. He was later named MVP of the Kelly Cup Playoffs when Idaho claimed its first ECHL championship.

HIGH SCHOOL TOURNIE RESULTS

Forward Nick Bartholomew (2g-5a) and Goaltender Leevi Tardiff, who allowed only three goals in five games, were named Tournament MVP's.
