Checkers Players Called Up To Wolf Pack

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The New York Rangers of the National Hockey League have reassigned forward, Bruce Graham to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Also, the Wolf Pack recalled forward, Mike Ouellette while assigning forwards, Mark Lee and Jordan Owens to the Checkers.

Graham, 6-foot-6, 235 pounds, was drafted by the Rangers in the second round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He scored 33 goals and 23 assists for 56 points and 83 penalty minutes with Charlotte last season while playing in seven games with the Wolf Pack scoring one assist. This season, Graham has scored in the teams first six games registering four goals and two assists.

Ouellette, 6-foot-1, 187 pounds, played in 69 games for Charlotte last season scoring 17 goals and 30 assists for 47 points. The Kamloops, British Columbia forward attended the Hartford training camp this season before being reassigned to Charlotte. In six games with the Checkers this year, the forward has totaled three goals and two assists for five points.

Mark Lee is set to make his return to the Checkers lineup. Lee, the Mount Pearl, Newfoundland native played 59 games for Charlotte last year garnering 26 goals and 54 assists for 80 points. He also netted four points (one goal, three assists) in five playoff games for Charlotte. The 5-foot-11, 187 pound forward suited up in five games for the Wolf Pack this season and registered one assist during that time.

Lee will be joined by forward, Jordan Owens. The Toronto, Ontario born winger started his professional career with a brief stint for the Wolf Pack last year playing in two games (no points). He spent the majority of the season in junior hockey with the Mississauga Ice Dogs of the Ontario Hockey League. In six games this year with Hartford, Owens tallied one goal and two assists for three points.

The Checkers are in their 15th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game takes place on Nov. 7 against the South Carolina Stingrays. In the team's 14-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 10 times including three consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers will enter their third season of play at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena this fall. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $399.
