Martin Houle recalled by Phantoms

WHEELING, WV - Following the Wheeling Nailers game on Saturday night, goaltender Martin Houle was recalled by the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League. The 22-year-old has already played 77 games with the Phantoms in his first two seasons in professional hockey.

Selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the eighth round (#232 overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Houle had started four out of the Nailers' six games this season and the last three in a row.

In his four games he was 2-1-1 with a goals against average of 2.94 and a save percentage of .911.

Phantoms goaltender Brian Boucher left their game on Saturday 4:15 into the second period of his teams 3-0 win with an undisclosed injury. Scott Munroe, who split time with Houle last season in goal for Philadelphia, completed the shutout.

The Nailers return to the ice on Wednesday in Cincinnati to meet with the Cyclones for the first time this season. Rookie David Brown (1-1-0, 4.00GAA, .900sv %) is expected to make the start for the Nailers.
