Grizzlies Drop 4-1 Decision To Idaho

West Valley City, Utah - The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Utah Grizzlies 4-1 Saturday night at the E-Center. Idaho went 4-6 on the power-play in the game as they held Utah to 1-8 on the power-play.

The Steelheads built a 2-0 lead with power-play goals early in the first and second periods. Utah made it 2-1 on a power-play goal from Ryan Kinasewich (6) with Scott Burt and Keith Johnson picking up assists at 7:19. The Grizzlies then had three-straight power-plays going down the stretch in the second but were unable to convert and tie the game.

Idaho then scored two power-play goals within 45 seconds at 14:39 of the second and 15:24 to make the game 4-1.

In the third, Utah outshot Idaho 16-4 and had two minutes of five-on-three power-play time but was unable to rally.

Nathan Lawson relieved Mike Mole in goal for the final 20 minutes of the game.

The Grizzlies next welcome Phoenix to the E-Center Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for 7:05 p.m. face-offs all three nights.
