
Las Vegas Hits the Road For Four Straight

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® were defeated by the Victoria Salmon Kings 3-1 on Friday night in front of 4,713 fans at the Orleans Arena. Center Kiel McLeod scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as the Salmon Kings improved to 22-9-4 on the season. All-Star goalie Julien Ellis stopped 32 of 33 Las Vegas shots for his 14th victory of the season. Forward Josh Sciba scored the only Las Vegas goal. Wranglers' goalie Kevin Lalande stopped 20 of 23 Victoria shots, suffering his first regulation loss of the season. Las Vegas will play in Bakersfield at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 18th at Rabobank Arena.
Victoria netted the only goal of the opening period as Nathan Barrett scored his first goal as a Salmon King at 7:22. McLeod and Ryan Wade each assisted on the power-play goal.
In the second period, Las Vegas countered to tie the game at one, as Josh Sciba scored his sixth goal of the season at 6:19. The Salmon Kings countered just 27-seconds later to take a 2-1 lead. Jordan Krestanovich dropped a pass for Mcleod, who redirected his ninth goal of the season past Lalande for the 2-1 Victoria lead. Winger Wes Goldie rifled his 15th shot of the season past Lalande at 10:53 for the 3-1 final.
Las Vegas heads out on four-game road trip starting Friday, January 18th at 7:00 pm in Bakersfield. Las Vegas will stop in Stockton for two games and one in Utah before returning home on Saturday, January 26th to host Utah at 7:05 pm.

The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
