Goldeyes Back at Shaw Park for Three Against KC

WINNIPEG - After going 3-4 on a seven-game road trip, the Winnipeg Goldeyes sit half a game ahead of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks for the second spot in the North Division and three games behind the St. Paul Saints for first in the division. This sets up another key set of games at home, as Winnipeg is back home for six games, beginning tonight with the first of three versus the Kansas City T-Bones.
Return of Eggleston: After playing 86 games in a Goldeyes uniform in 2010 and being released on the last day of training camp, Kansas City outfielder Aharon Eggleston returns to Shaw Park for the first time since leaving the team. He's hitting .330 in 26 games with Kansas City.
Soiree Franco Fun Night: On Friday night, come celebrate Franco-Manitoban culture with ambassador families from the Franco-Manitoban community and Festival mascot Leo. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive Thundersticks and French-Canadian music will be played throughout the night.
Filipino Heritage Night: On Saturday night, the Goldeyes celebrate Winnipeg's thriving Filipino community. Before the game, 10-year-old singing sensation Maria Aragon will take the field to perform Lady Gaga's "Born This Way". During the game, fans can get a sampling of Filipino cuisine at a concession buffet provided by Pampanga Restaurant. Also, there will be a pavilion for fans to learn more about the Filipino culture.
Goldeyes Jersey Giveaway: Come early on Sunday because the first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a Goldeyes jersey, courtesy of Boston Pizza. It's also Family Fun Day. Wonder Shows Carnival Games and the Dynasty Bathrooms Plunger Pool will be on the Promenade before the game and kids can run the bases following the game.
