Goaltender Brandon Anderson Reassigned to Reading Royals

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Hershey Bears announced today that goaltender Brandon Anderson has been reassigned to the ECHL's Reading Royals. The announcement was made by Bears President/GM Doug Yingst.

Anderson, 21, was summoned from Reading and served as backup in Friday night's game at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Anderson has appeared in nine games with the Royals in 2013-14. He holds a record of 4-4-1 with one shutout, save percentage of 3.00 and goals-against average of .884. He has a cumulative record of 12-10-2 with three shutouts in 25 career games in Reading.

The 6-1, 184-pound native of Langley, BC first joined Hershey late in the 2011-12 regular season but did not appear in a game. He finished the final season of his WHL junior career with the Brandon Wheat Kings that year, after starting 2011-12 and spending the three previous years with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. In 138 career games in the WHL, Anderson has a record of 44-62-17.
