BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Binghamton fell 7-4 to the Hershey Bears extending the Sens losing streak to seven straight games. Both teams combined for 143 penalty minutes, but the home team managed to notch three third period goals to pull away for the victory.
Hershey grabbed the early lead when Stanislav Galiev put a power-play strike past Binghamton net minder Andrew Hammond just 1:20 into the contest. Binghamton evened the score at 11:56 when Mark Stone put a shorthanded goal past Bears goaltender Michal Neuvirth. Binghamton rallied with three unanswered goals in the frame including Danny New's first goal of the season since being recalled from the Elmira Jackals at 6:16 to cut the Bears lead to 3-2. Brandon Segal recorded his third goal of the season off a feed from Cameron Schilling 3:56 into the final frame giving the Bears the 5-4 lead. Less than three minutes later, Nathan Walker beat Hammond to extend the lead to 6-4 before Ryan Stoa put a backbreaker in just over one minute later moving the final score to 7-4.
