Giants Send Taphorn to Kootenay

Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants announced on Sunday that the hockey club has acquired a second round pick in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft from the Kootenay Ice in exchange for 2000-born prospect forward Kaeden Taphorn.

The Giants drafted Taphorn, who hails from Yorkton, Saskatchewan, in the third round of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft at 47th overall. The pick Vancouver adds in the trade with the Ice was originally owned by the Portland Winterhawks.
