Brandon, MB. - The Brandon Wheat Kings ran their home ice winning streak to six games Saturday night.
Rookie Connor Gutenberg scored twice as the Wheat Kings beat the visiting Swift Current Broncos 4-3 to complete a sweep of a mini 2-game Western Hockey League home stand.
The Wheat Kings, who beat the second place Prince Albert Raiders 8-1 on Friday night, jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead but needed a third period goal by 17-year old defenceman Kale Clague to secure the win.
Duncan Campbell rounded out the scoring for the Wheat Kings, who outshot the Broncos 38-16, including 27-7 through two periods.

4,000 fans turned out for the game, which featured the Annual Home Depot Family Skate following the game.
The Wheat Kings won't play again now until Friday night when they play host to the Memorial Cup Host Red Deer Rebels.
