Matchup:

Orlando and South Carolina meet up for the fourth time this season with the Solar Bears looking to earn their first win over the Stingrays this year. Orlando has won each of their last two games after trailing in both of them. Last Sunday, the Solar Bears were down 3-2 to Colorado with less than four minutes to play, but F Zach Harrison and F Scott Tanski scored 36 seconds apart to lift the Solar Bears to a 4-3 victory. Last night in Greenville, Orlando surrendered two goals in the opening period, but evened the score up a 2-2 early in the second and led 4-3 going into the third. After the Road Warriors tied the contest just over five minutes into the third period, F David Rutherford banged home the eventual game winner on a rebound with a little over seven minutes left in the game as Orlando picked up their second straight win. The Stingrays were in action on the road last night as well, closing a six-game road trip with a 3-2 loss at the hands of the Gwinnett Gladiators. Gwinnett jumped out to a 3-0 lead by the 9:09 mark of the second period, but South Carolina came right back with a goal 32 seconds later and a second with 1:09 remaining in the game to pull to within one. The comeback effort fell just short, however, as the Gladiators held off the late Stingrays attack to take the win.
