Matchup:

The Solar Bears close out a four game road trip tonight as they take on the Florida Everblades for the second straight game. Orlando collected a 4-3 shootout win in a tightly contested contest last night to push their unbeaten-in-regulation streak to seven games. In the first period of yesterday's matchup, F Mickey Lang struck on the power play and F Taylor Matson followed it up with an even strength goal to give Orlando the 2-0 lead shortly after the midway point of the frame. The Everblades scored a power play goal of their own before the end of the first as Orlando led 2-1 going into the second. Florida tied the contest up on a broken play in front of the Orlando net with just over five minutes left in the second, but F Kory Nagy registered his third goal of the season on a sweeping backhand shot through traffic to restore the Orlando lead. A goal in the third from the Everblades forced overtime and an eventual shootout, where the Solar Bears prevailed to earn the 4-3 victory. Lang, F Mike Duco, and F Michael Catenacci all scored shootout while G Christopher Gibson, who stopped 33 shots in regulation and overtime, turned aside three of the four shots he faced in the win.
