Stingrays Game Preview: Stingrays Close Northern Road Trip Tonight in Evansville

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays battle the Evansville IceMen tonight at 8:15 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, closing a brief two-game road trip. Tonight is the third of four meetings between the two teams this season.

Note of the Night:

Last night, the Stingrays defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones 4-1 at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio in a battle of the top two teams in the Eastern Conference. Forward Jack Downing scored two goals and goaltender Allen York registered his first win with the Stingrays in his team debut, making 23 saves.

Leading the North:

With the win over the Cyclones last night, the Stingrays improved their record against the North Division to 5-0-1-0.

Taking Charge:

Picking up an assist against the Cyclones, forward Peter Boyd has five goals and 10 assists in his last 12 contests and leads the team with 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists).

Friend or Foe:

Goaltender Allen York battles his former team tonight for the first time this season. He was acquired by the Stingrays in a trade last Tuesday in exchange for future considerations.
