San Francisco Bulls News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls (14-20-4-1) twice held the lead but ultimately faltered 4-2 to the Bakersfield Condors (15-17-1-1), Friday night at Rabobank Arena. Brett Findlay and Dean Ouellet scored, while Ryan Garlock picked up an assist in his first game against his former team.

The Bulls struck first when Findlay converted a Jordan Morrison pass, 6:42 into play. Findlay, under pressure from a pair of Condor defenders, circled from the corner boards into the face-off circle where he lifted a shot over Laurent Brossoit for a 1-0 lead. Condor forward Chase Schaber responded by depositing a rebound off a Joel Broda bid to tie the game with 5:53 left in the first. Beskorowany stopped 10 Condors shots while the Bulls ripped five off at the other end.

Ouellet opened the second by scoring his 10th goal of the season, 3:08 into the frame. Garlock raced up the left side on a 3-on-2 and fed Ouellet with a drop pass in the slot. Ouellet sniped one past Brossoit for a 2-1 lead. The Condors again answered back when Andrew Carroll nudged a loose puck off the goal line and in just over four minutes later. Broda handed the Condors the lead on a power play tally and Cameron Abney scored a minute later to hand Bakersfield a 4-2 lead 8:40 away from the second intermission. Luke Judson dropped the gloves with Abney in the closing minutes of the period that saw the Bulls out-shot 13-8 by their hosts.

Neither team cracked the score sheet in a defensive third period. The Bulls out-shot Bakersfield 13-5 in the third period, but couldn't get another puck past Brossoit.

The Bulls take Saturday off before travelling north to Stockton Arena for a Sunday afternoon rivalry showdown. The puck drops at 4:00 pm as the Bulls square off against Northern California rivals the Stockton Thunder in their last game before the All-Star break.
