Matchup:

Orlando and Evansville come together tonight for the second time in two games after a back-and-forth contest last night was decided in a shootout. The IceMen came out flying and were rewarded with a goal off the stick of F Matt Schepke just 1:17 into the contest. The Solar Bears responded with two quick strikes from F Francis Verreault-Paul and F David Rutherford before the end of the period to take a 2-1 lead into the second frame. Evansville then regained the lead scoring twice in 1:04, both shorthanded, but D Colton Jobke registered his first professional goal to tie the contest at 3-3 going into the third. The Solar Bears suffered an unlucky bounce when a pass from D Matt Krug deflected off a skate of a Solar Bears defender midway through the third to give the IceMen their third lead of the night. With time winding down in the period, F Mike Ullrich forced the game into overtime when he knotted the score up at 4-4 on a deflection goal with 1:13 left to play. After neither team picked up a goal in OT, both F David Rutherford and F Zach Harrison scored in the ensuing shootout while G John Curry stopped all four shots he faced to give Orlando the 5-4 shootout win.
