Fresno Falcons News Release

Dec. 7 @ Alaska Aces, 4-3 Shootout Loss - In the second game of four in a row against the Aces, the Falcons' penalty kill kept the team in the game by thwarting 11 of 12 Alaska power plays. Fresno overcame deficits of 2-0, behind two power play goals 47 seconds apart from J.F. Plourde, and 3-2, thanks to a game-tying goal off the stick of Cory Murphy. Following a scoreless overtime, the Aces squeaked past the Falcons 1-0 in the shootout to capture the victory.

Dec. 9 @ Alaska, 5-4 Overtime Loss - Fresno again fell behind 2-0 before the game was even five minutes old but battled back to take a pair of one-goal leads behind four different goal scorers. The Aces tied the game at four with under seven minutes remaining in regulation before scoring a power play goal just 24 seconds into the extra session.

Dec. 10 @ Alaska, 3-2 Shootout Loss - After falling behind the Aces 2-0 for the third straight game, Fresno's Pete Fregoe and J.F. Plourde scored in the third period to draw the Falcons even and force overtime for the third game in a row, as well. Again the Falcons came up short in the tie-breaker, suffering their fifth straight loss when the game reaches a shootout.
