
Falcons Teach the Hockey Basics to Boys & Girls Clubs Tomorrow

FRESNO, Calif. - Six Fresno Falcons players and assistant coach Ryan Mougenel will hold a hockey clinic for the kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fresno County tomorrow, Dec. 13, from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Each of the six Falcons players attending the clinic represents a different playing position to help the kids understand the basics of the sport of ice hockey:
Goalie - Mike Brown
Defense - Matt Deschamps
Defense - P.O. Beaulieu
Left Wing - Rob McFeeters
Center - Pete Fregoe
Right Wing - J.F. Plourde
The players and Coach Mougenel will have an audience of approximately 80 kids, mostly between the ages of 10 and 12. The clinic will take place at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fresno County's Zimmerman Unit, located at 540 N. Augusta. Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County is comprised of 16 neighborhood-based clubs serving 13,000 kids throughout Fresno County including Fresno, Clovis, Pinedale, Del Rey, Firebaugh, Huron, Parlier, Orange Cove, Caruthers and Oakhurst. The Mission of Boys & Girls Club is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The Falcons continue a six-game road trip this week when they travel east to play three games against two teams from the ECHL's North Division. They will face-off against the fabled Johnstown Chiefs on Friday, Dec. 16, before clashing twice with the division-leading Reading Royals on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17 and 18.
Fresno will then return home to Save Mart Center to take on the Stockton Thunder on Monday, Dec. 26, at 5 p.m. Admission for children ages 12 and under is free, and the first 2,000 fans will receive a Falcons holiday poster.
