Eight Straight for Desbiens! Guillaume Desbiens picked up an assist for the Gladiators in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Columbia Inferno to extend his point scoring streak to eight consecutive games. His streak started with a goal for the Gladiators in Gwinnett's 8-7 loss to the South Carolina Stingrays on November 25th. Desbiens has recorded 4 goals and 10 assists for 14 points for the Gladiators during the streak. He is one game shy of tying Chris Durno's team season high nine game point scoring streak.

Joining the Club! Guillaume Desbiens posted four assists for the Gladiators in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Augusta Lynx. With his 4 assists, Desbiens tied the Gladiators team record for most assists in a game becoming the fourth Gladiator to accomplish the feat. Rick Emmett set the standard with four helpers for the Gladiators during Gwinnett's inaugural season. Kris Goodjohn was the first player to match Emmett's mark posting 4 assists in a game last year. This season, Brad Schell had four assists for the Gladiators in a 7-4 win over the Pensacola Ice Pilots on November 15th. The all time team record for assists in a game is 5 which was accomplished twice, the first by Dean Sylvester with Mobile and then matched by Bobby Stewart, also with Mobile.

Pascal sees net, not light! Pascal Pelletier posted his 13th goal of the season for the Gladiators in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Charlotte Checkers. With the tally, he passes Chris Durno for the team lead in goals scored and moves into first in scoring on the Gladiators. Pelletier has picked up 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points on the year for the Gladiators.

And the Winner Is... Pascal Pelletier posted his third game-winning goal of the season for the Gladiators in Thursday's 4-3 win at Charlotte. One more game winning goal will move Pelletier into elite company on the Gladiators as just the fifth player to score more than three game winning goals in a season. Kevin Doell had 7 while Kris Goodjohn had 5 game winning goals during the Gladiators inaugural season. Last year, Mike Vigilante posted 5 game wining goals while Chris Durno had 4 game winning goals for Gwinnett.

Three pair beats one of a kind... Three players posted two goals for the Gladiators in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Augusta Lynx. Jeff Campbell, Brad Schell and Pascal Pelletier each had two goals for the Gladiators in the win. It was the first time this season and the first time in Gladiators team history that there were three multiple goals scorers in a single game.

More firsts for Gwinnett: Defenseman Matt York scored his first professional goal in the Gladiators 4-3 win over the Charlotte Checkers last night. York has now posted a goal and 4 assists for the Gladiators in 12 games this season for the Gladiators. Josh Bennett then picked up his first goal and his first assist of the season for the Gladiators in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Columbia Inferno.

See the Stanley Cup! The Stanley Cup is scheduled to make an appearance at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Tuesday night as the Gladiators host the Columbia Inferno at 7:05 p.m. The Cup will be at the Arena at Gwinnett Center as part of the NHL's Stanley Cup Tour to help raise money for the Hurricane Relief and help the communities of Beaumont, Texas (Texas Wildcatters) and Biloxi, Mississippi (Mississippi Sea Wovles).

December 6th, Gladiators 7, Pensacola 1 - W

Guillaume Desbiens tied a Gladiators team record with 4 assists in the win while three players posted a pair of goals for Gwinnett. Jeff Campbell, Pascal Pelletier and Brad Schell each finished with two goals. Pelletier also picked up an assists for Gwinnett. Danny Eberly finished with 3 assists and Matt York had 2 helpers for Gwinnett. Steve Slaton scored Gwinnett's first goal on the power play as the Gladiators finished with three power play goal for the first time since November 15th. Sean Fields made 21 saves in the win for the Gladiators.

December 8th, Gladiators 4, Charlotte 3 - W

The Gladiators snapped a 3-game road losing streak with the victory over the Checkers. Pascal Pelletier scored the game winning goal with less than four minutes left in the third period. He beat Charlotte netminder Holt on a shorthanded breakway. Guillaume Desbiens had two assists and a goal for the Gladiators while Matt York posted his first professional goal in the win. Derek Nesbitt scored on the power play for Gwinnett as the Gladiators overcame a 3-1 first period deficit. Chad Collins made 32 saves for his first win as a Gladiator.

December 9th, Gladiators 5, Trenton 2 - W

Trenton jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the first period but Gwinnett held on tying the game by the end of the opening stanza with a power play goal by Guillaume Desbiens and a marker by Derek Nesbitt. Nesbitt's tally came with 38 seconds left in the first period. Jeff Campbell scored 38 seconds into the second period. His goal proved to be the game winner. Brad Schell scored for Gwinnett in the third while Troy Milam added an empty net goal with 26 seconds left to ice the contest. Milam finished with 2 assists while Sean Fields made 24 saves in the win.

December 10th, Columbia 5, Gladiators 4 - SOL

Brad Schell scored the game's first goal and the only first period tally to give Gwinnett an early 1-0 lead. Columbia stormed back with 4 second period goals to take a commanding 4-1 lead after two periods. Gwinnett answered with three third period goals to send the game to overtime. Josh Bennett was credited with the first goal of the third period as Columbia put the puck in its own net. Steve Slaton got the Gladiators within a goal while Jeff Campbell tied the game at 4-4. Columbia got past the Gladiators in the eighth round of the shootout for the win. Guillaume Desbiens recorded an assist to extend his point scoring streak to eight straight games. Sean Fields finished with 33 saves in the shootout loss for the Gladiators.

The Gladiators have outscored the Ice Pilots by a combined 20-5 margin in thee games. Gwinnett has scored 6 or more goals in each of the three wins as the Gladiators lead the season series 3-0-0.

The Gladiators are winless this season against the Grrrowl. Greenville has posted five goals in both of their wins against the Gladiators this season.

Saturday, December 17th vs. Toledo Storm, 7:35 p.m. - wdun.com

First and only meeting of the season between the Gladiators and the Storm. This game also marks the first ever meeting between these two teams.
