Former Bruin Terry O'Reilly Appearing at Hadlock August 24th

PORTLAND, MAINE - Former Boston Bruin Terry O'Reilly is scheduled to make an appearance at Hadlock Field on August 24th, when the Sea Dogs host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at 7:00 PM. O'Reilly's appearance is presented by Asylum Sports Bar and Grill.

O'Reilly will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and will be available to sign free autographs on photos provided by the Sea Dogs for fans from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

O'Reilly was selected by the Boston Bruins in the first round (14th overall) of the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft. He appeared in 891 games for the Bruins over 14 seasons and scored 204 goals with 402 assists for 606 points with a career plus/minus of +212 and 2,095 penalty minutes. O'Reilly spent his entire career in Boston and was team captain during the 1983-84 and 84-85 seasons. His #24 was retired by the Bruins on October 24, 2002. After his playing career, O'Reilly served as Head Coach of the Bruins for three seasons, leading the Bruins to the Stanley Cup Finals in the 1987-88 season.

The Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have hosted several Boston athletes at Hadlock Field over the past few years, including Rob Gronkowski (2011), Patrick Chung (2012), Shawn Thornton (2012), Rob Ninkovich (2013), Trot Nixon (2014), Shane Vereen (2014), Marcus Smart (2014), Malcolm Butler (2015), and Kelly Olynyk (2015).
