Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons host the final Barons Buddies event of the season on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Andy Alligator's Water Park in Norman from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The Barons Buddies Program utilizes an existing relationship with Special Olympics Oklahoma. Each member of the Barons organization is paired with a Special Olympics Athlete. The team and athlete meet on three occasions during the season to form a permanent bond.

The jerseys were auctioned off following the game and raised $28,000 for the program. Over the last three seasons, the Barons have raised nearly $80,000 for Special Olympics Oklahoma.

The Barons continue their playoff push with three home games this weekend. Tonight, they host the Hamilton Bulldogs. Saturday and Sunday, the host the Charlotte Checkers. All three games are played at the Cox Convention Center.
