Nordstrom Recalled by Blackhawks

Chicago, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Joakim Nordstrom from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

Nordstrom, 22, has racked up 17 goals, 16 assists, and a plus/minus rating of +9 in 58 games for the IceHogs. His 17 tallies this season rank second on the team, behind Jeremy Morin's 24.

The Tyreso, Sweden native made his NHL debut in the Blackhawks 2013-14 season opener on Oct. 1 against Washington. Nordstrom has appeared in 10 games with the Blackhawks this season, recording a goal and an assist.

The 22 year-old was Chicago's third round pick (#90 overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Next Home Game: Friday, Apr. 11 vs. Milwaukee Admirals. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m. The IceHogs return home after three games on the road, finishing their season series against the Admirals on Friday night.
