
Eizenman Named ECHL Player of Month

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced today that rookie center Oren Eizenman has been named CCM TACKS ECHL Player of the Month for January.
It is the second straight month that Eizenman has received a league-wide honor after he earned ECHL Rookie of the Month honors in December. It is also the third league-wide honor for the Falcons in the last two days, as Jake Moreland was named ECHL Goalie of the Month for January, and Luke Curtin earned ECHL Player of the Week honors yesterday.
Eizenman led the Falcons in January with 14 assists and 20 points, while also adding six goals, as Fresno went 9-2-1. He
After beginning the month with a career-high four points, including a power-play goal and the game-winning goal, in a 5-4 overtime win at Las Vegas on Jan. 4, Eizenman assisted on the game-tying and the game-winning goal in a 3-2 overtime win at Las Vegas on Jan. 5. He scored two goals, including one on the power play, and added an assist in a 6-5 shootout loss at Victoria on Jan. 18, beginning a six-game point streak (4g-7a).
The 22-year-old scored three points for the fifth time with a power-play goal and two assists in a 6-1 win against Idaho on Jan. 25 and he scored the game-winning goal on the power play goal and added an assist in a 5-2 win against Stockton on Jan. 27. He ended the month with an assist in a 4-2 win against Phoenix, extending his assist streak (7a) and scoring streak (4g-7a) to six games.
Eizenman leads all ECHL rookies with 52 points, while his 24 goals are second among first-year players. He leads the Falcons in goals, points, assists (28), power-play goals (10) and game-winning goals (5).
The Falcons return to action on Friday, hosting the Utah Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. It's Camp Out For Cans Night, presented by Sierra Vista Mall and Wilks Broadcasting. All fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the game to donate to the Community Food Bank.
