Checkers Revamp Charlotte Hockey Hall Of Fame

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced today that the Charlotte Hockey Hall of Fame inductions will be based on updated parameters to better reflect the feedback from the fans and media.
The nomination procedure into the Charlotte Hockey Hall of Fame presented by American Airlines will only begin after a person has been outside of Charlotte hockey for two plus seasons. The process will not include a current player selection. The first class of inductees will be announced at a Checkers game later this season.
The Checkers began their 15th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game takes place on Feb. 7 against the South Carolina Stingrays. In the team's 14-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 10 times including three consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers are in their third season of play at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $175.
