Ducks skate past Grizzlies, 4-2

WEST VALLEY, UT - Joffrey Lupul had a goal and an assist to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 3-1 victory over the Utah Grizzlies Friday at the E-Center.

Zenon Konopka, Pierre Parenteau and Cory Pecker also scored for the Ducks, who have won seven of their last nine games. Joel Perrault chipped in with a pair of assists.

Ilya Bryzgalov made 24 saves for the Ducks, who improved to 6-0-0-0 this season against Utah.

Cincinnati moved three points in front of fourth-place Houston in the West Division with its third straight road win.

Martin Sonnenberg and Jarrod Skalde scored for the Grizzlies, who have lost their last four games (0-3-1-0).

Jamie Storr, the seventh overall pick in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft by Los Angeles, finished with 29 saves in the losing effort.

The Ducks and Grizzlies complete a two-game series at the E-Center Saturday at 9:05 p.m.
