
Moose recall Lehoux; Sign Zultek to PTO

Today, the Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have recalled forward Jason Lehoux and signed forward Matt Zultek to a pro-tryout contract.
Lehoux, 25, has played 27 games this season for the Quad City Mallards of the United Hockey League scoring four goals and adding 10 assists for 14 points and 61 penalty minutes. The Ste. Marie, PQ native played in one game last season with the Moose, registering two penalty minutes. He also appeared in 12 games with the St. John's Maple Leafs, scoring one goal and collecting 27 penalty minutes. Lehoux has played in 196 career American Hockey League games from 2000-04 where he has scored 23 goals and 47 points and collected 440 penalty minutes with St. John's, Manitoba, and Albany.
The Moose signed Lehoux to an AHL contract on July 27, 2004.

Zultek, 25, has played 50 games this year for the Trenton Titans of the ECHL. He has 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points and 192 penalty minutes. The Windsor, ON native has played in 34 games over four seasons in the American Hockey League with Springfield and Philadelphia. In that time, he has scored one goal and added four assists for five points with eight penalty minutes. He also has one assist and eight penalty minutes in nine AHL playoff games. Over four seasons and 221 games in the ECHL, all with the Trenton Titans, he has scored 86 goals and added 84 assists for 10 points and 762 penalty minutes. Zultek spent four years in the Ontario Hockey League and registered 177 points (97g, 80a) in 209 games played but is best known for scoring in overtime to defeat Calgary in the 1999 Memorial Cup Final.
Zultek was originally Los Angeles' first choice, 15th overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. After re-entering the draft two years later, Zultek was drafted by Boston, 56th overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
