On Thursday, Brian Finley earned his 29th win of the season as Milwaukee blanked Houston, 5-0.

LOOKING AHEAD:
The Chicago Wolves play the 1,000th game (regular season and playoffs) in franchise history when they visit Hamilton on Friday night... The Wolves, who began play in the IHL in 1994, are four points behind division-leading Milwaukee in the West, while the Bulldogs are just one point out of a playoff spot in the North... Tommi Santala extended his scoring streak to 13 games (3g, 13a) with the winning goal in Chicago's 3-1 win over Houston on Wednesday... Kari Lehtonen is 7-0-0 in net for the Wolves since the All-Star break... Hamilton is 9-3-0-1 in its last 13 home games; all three losses were against league-leading Rochester... Tomas Plekanec has two goals and seven assists in his last eight games for the Bulldogs.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Norfolk engage in a big two-game weekend series at Scope, with the Penguins coming in one point up on the fourth-place Admirals in the East Division... Wilkes-Barre has dominated the season series, going 5-0-1-0 over the first six meetings... The Pens' Colby Armstrong and Tomas Surovy lead all scorers with eight points each against Norfolk... Wilkes-Barre forward Michel Ouellet has not scored a goal in nine games since the All-Star break... The Admirals are playing 14 of their next 16 games at home, where they have not played since Feb. 18... Norfolk went 5-4-0-1 on its recent 10-game road trip.

Providence hosts Portland on Friday night in an Atlantic Division tilt... The Pirates have won four of their last five to keep their playoff hopes alive, while the Bruins have dropped four of five to sink to fifth place... Andy Hilbert has 14 points (4g, 10a) in eight games against Portland this season, while Brad Boyes has scored seven goals... Brian Willsie, who is riding a five-game scoring streak for the Pirates, had three goals and an assist in a 5-1 win over the B's on Feb. 26... Kirk Daubenspeck owns a 1.69 goals-against average and .949 save percentage in 15 appearances for Portland this season.
