Kyle Wellwood named Molson Cup Player of the Month

The St. John's Maple Leafs announced today that center Kyle Wellwood has won the February segment of the Molson Cup Player of the Month Award. Wellwood tallied 14 points (5G,9A) and had 30 shots on net in 12 games during February. Wellwood received five 1st star honors for 25 Molson Cup points during the month. Kyle will be honored at tonight's game in a pre-game ceremony.
The St. John's Maple Leafs next action is tonight and Saturday when the club faces the Edmonton Roadrunners at Mile One Stadium. Game time is 7:35pm and will be broadcast live on Radio Newfoundland (930AM) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca and Rogers Television.
