North Charleston, SC - Michael Dubuc had his second four goal game of the season as the South Carolina Stingrays won their final game of the season against the Florida Everblades 6-2 at the North Charleston Coliseum.

"Dubuc is an unbelievable offensive talent," said Head Coach Jared Bednar. "The team as a whole worked hard from beginning to end, and it showed."

In a period reminiscent of the previous game, the Rays took the early lead, only to let it slip away and finally reclaim it before the first intermission. At 11:57 of the period, Josh Godfrey worked the puck free in the offensive zone while the Rays were killing off a penalty and fired a shot that was tipped by Travis Morin behind David Leggio for the first goal of the game. The goal was Morin's 14th of the year and was assisted by Michael Dubuc and Godfrey. After Patrick Bordeleau got his sixth goal of the year to tie the game up at one, the Rays struck again. At the 18 minute mark, while on the power play, Trent Campbell found Dubuc on the back door giving Dubuc his team leading 25th goal of the year. The assists went to Campbell and Pierre-Luc O'Brien and made it a 2-1 game at the end of the first period.

The second period was dominated by the Rays from beginning to end, as the added four goals to pad their lead to five. Dubuc got his second goal of the game at 3:24 of the period from O'Brien and Trent Campbell on the power play to make it a 3-1 lead. After the goal, Leggio was removed in favor of Anton Khudobin, who was welcomed with a quick goal from Dubuc, his third of the night, giving him a natural hat-trick. The goal came at 4:34 from Jeff Corey and Nate Kiser, another power play goal. Keith Johnson kept the ball rolling for the Rays at 7:48 when he got his 11th goal of the year from Maxime Lacroix and Romfo, making it a 5-1 lead. Later in the period, at 13:05, Dubuc got his fourth goal of the game, his team leading 28th goal of the season, from O'Brien and Viktor Dovgan to make it a 6- game.

The Rays played prevent defense in the third period and only allowed one goal, coming off the stick of Mathieu Roy at the 7:42 mark from Ernie Hartlieb and Kevin Baker, on the power play, to make it 6-2, the eventual final.

The winning goaltender was Jonathan Boutin who stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced. The losing goaltender was Leggio, who stopped 22 of the 25 shots he faced in 48:59. Khudobin gave up three goals on four shots while playing for 11:01, but did not factor in to the decision. The Rays went 4-11 on the power play while killing off six of the seven short handed situations they faced.

The Rays will be back in action on Tuesday as they host the Charlotte Checkers right here at the Coliseum at 7:05 P.M. You can hear the game live on ESPN Radio 910 the TEAM starting with the Benitos Pre-game show beginning at 6:50.
