
Blades, ECHL join USA Hockey Weekend Across America Celebration

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades, in conjunction with the ECHL are proud to announce that they are joining USA Hockey and the National Hockey League to celebrate Hockey Weekend Across America on Feb. 13-15.
Sponsored by Reebok, the three-day celebration of the sport was created by USA Hockey, the national governing body for the sport of ice hockey in the United States. Each of the three days has a theme with "Wear Your Jersey To School/Work Day" on Feb. 13, "Bring A Friend To The Rink Day" on Feb. 14 and "Celebrate Local Hockey Heroes" on Feb. 15.
The Everblades are holding their Hockey Weekend Across America day on Saturday, February 14, which is "Bring a Friend to the Rink Day" in the weekend celebration, when they host the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:30 p.m.
The Everblades are offering a special ticket price to fans for this game. Fans can either click here to access the order form to receive the special ticket price or visit the Everblades website at www.floridaeverblades.com and click on the "USA Hockey Night" link under the "promotions" tab.
To take part in the special offer fans can purchase a corner section seat for $13 (Normally $15)! Plus, for every ticket purchased fans will receive a special USA Hockey puck and a portion of the proceeds from each ticket purchased will be donated back to local USA Hockey organizations.
Germain Arena is also home to the Jr. Everblades and Florida Everblades AAA youth hockey program. All youth and adult hockey programs at Germain Aren are registered members of USA Hockey and Germain Arena hosts the largest sanctioned USA Hockey youth ice hockey tournament in USA Hockey's Southeast District. In addition to the Everblades 17 of the 20 ECHL teams in the United States are offering special ticket packages that include a donation being made to USA Hockey. Participating teams are Alaska, Bakersfield, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Dayton, Elmira, Gwinnett, Idaho, Johnstown, Mississippi, Ontario, Phoenix, Reading, Stockton, Trenton, Utah and Wheeling.
"We are pleased to join USA Hockey in celebrating Hockey Weekend Across America," said ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna. "We share a common goal in promoting and growing the greatest game in the world and this weekend gives us a very tangible way to do so.
"We encourage all of our fans to help celebrate the weekend by not only taking in a game but by introducing a friend to hockey."
There are 25 games scheduled in the ECHL during the three days and commemorative pucks will be used in ceremonial puck drops to celebrate the event. The ECHL has nine games in eight states on Friday and Saturday and seven games in seven states on Sunday.
Fans can register to win one of 45 Reebok EDGE authentic NHL jerseys in the Hockey Weekend Across America 's Great Jersey Giveaway. U.S. citizens who are 13 years old and older may register one time at HockeyWeekendAcrossAmerica.com until 11:59 p.m. MT on Feb. 12.
Each day during Hockey Weekend Across America from Feb. 13-15 there will be 15 winners selected to receive their favorite NHL jersey from Reebok.

The Everblades return to action tonight when they travel to South Carolina to take on the Stingrays at 7:05 p.m. from the North Charleston Coliseum. The Everblades return home on Wednesday, February 11 when they host the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena.
