Vice President and General Manager Paul Pickard Manages McDonald's

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League announce that Vice President and General Manager Paul L. Pickard will be serving as a judge for McDonald's of Southwest Michigan's drive thru competition at their Galesburg location this Friday, October the 24th. This is a competition between all company owned McDonald's throughout the State of Michigan. McDonald's of Southwest Michigan will be holding this at 13 of their 31 regional locations.

The contest is to see how many consecutive drive thru orders can be prepared and ready to hand out to the customers as they pull their car up to the window. It's designed to build teamwork, camaraderie and quality service all while having fun competing for drive thru supremacy bragging rights. The McDonald's of Southwest Michigan area record for most consecutive drive thru orders without a car waiting is 279, which was set at their Paw Paw location.

Paul Pickard will be counting the number of consecutive orders that his Galesburg McDonald's team can prepare and hand out to their customers without them having to wait from 11 am – 2 pm this Friday. Everyone knows that the pressure will be on because that's the heart of McDonald's very busy lunchtime rush.

"Just like the Wings Stadium Complex, McDonald's wants to provide the best service for their customers," said Pickard. "We enjoy a great relationship with McDonald's which is one of our premiere Corporate Partners and this competition between their area stores is very similar to what we do at Wings Stadium; our goal is to provide a quality experience with the best service possible to our guests, as well as make it fun for our employees."

McDonald's of Southwest Michigan's Operations Manager, Tom Hull commented that "Paul is the perfect judge for this type of competition because in addition to being an excellent manager he also has a great coaching background which means he can encourage and motivate our Galesburg team while leading them through our hectic Friday lunch rush towards their goal of setting a new record."
