The club went to Philadelphia the next day, had a flight re-routed from Chicago to Denver and snuck into San Francisco to make its way to Fresno for a game on Feb. 27. Heading up the road the next day, Cincinnati visit Stockton on March 2 and 3 and then returned for one final game yesterday (March 4). The club posted a 3-4 mark during the stretch. The seven game road trip tied the club's longest ever, when the squad went 3-2-2 from Feb. 2-18, 2003.

WEBER ASSEMBLING SOLID ROOKIE SEASON: Cyclones Head Coach Chuck Weber has assembled the best winning percentage of any rookie coach in the ECHL. Weber has directed Cincinnati to a 30-22-2-2 record (.571 winning percentage). That is .044 percent and three wins more than Rick Kowalsky, the Trenton coach.

Barret Ehgoetz had two goals and an assist to pace the attack, while Scott Reynolds scored the game winning goal. Sunday (March 4), Cincinnati wound up on the short end of a 3-2 score at Fresno.

COMEBACK KIDS: After giving up the opening goal Friday at Stockton, the Cyclones scored six unanswered and claimed a 6-2 win. The Cyclones rallied from a 2-1 deficit Saturday to take a 4-2 win. It was the 11th and 12th times this season that the Cyclones have rallied to pick up a win.

NORTHERN EXPOSURE: The Cyclones finished their National Conference junket and are 3-4 outside of the North Division this season. The seven teams from the North are 18-25-3 (.424 winning percentage) in games outside the division. The North has a 4-7 record (.364 winning percentage) against the National Conference this season, as Cincinnati (two triumphs), Trenton and Toledo have the lone wins against the conference.

HE'S ON A WIRLL: Cyclones forward Mike Wirll took over the ECHL's goal scoring lead on Sunday, collecting his 37th score of the season. Wirll has scored six times as a member of the Cincinnati squad since being acquired from Pensacola on Valentine's Day.

FAST FACTS: The Cyclones are 23-6-2 when scoring the first goal of the game...When Cincinnati leads a game 2-0, it has a 10-0-1 record...When the Cyclones score three consecutive goals in a game, they are 18-1-1...Cincinnati is 23-1 when leading after two periods...The Cyclones are 16-1-2 when scoring four or more goals.

HOME, SWEET HOME: The Cyclones are 14-3-3 (.775 winning percentage) at U.S. Bank Arena since Nov. 18.

HAPPY BIRTHDAYS TO YOU: Greg Gallagher celebrated his 23rd birthday last Friday (Feb. 23). Jason Goulet celebrated his 24th birthday on Sunday (Feb. 25) and Dov Grumet-Morris celebrated his 25th birthday on Wednesday (Feb. 28).

HOW ABOUT THOSE CYCLONES: Despite the loss on Saturday, Cincinnati has won four of the last six games. The Cyclones are 3-1 away from U.S. Bank Arena in February.

BAD BOYS: The Cyclones racked up 88 penalty minutes in Saturday's loss at Trenton, which was a season-high. Cincinnati accumulated three misconduct penalties in the contest, one less than its total (four) through 51 games.

MAGIC NUMBER: The Cyclones, currently the leaders of the North Division, have a 'magic number' of 25 to make the Kelly Cup playoffs. Every Cincinnati win reduces the number by two, every shootout or overtime loss reduces it by one. Reading currently has the sixth-most possible points (88). Every time the team in sixth place loses a game--Cincinnati's number reduces by two and each time that team has a shootout loss that number reduces by one. As it gets closer to the playoffs different teams could move into that sixth position.
