Week In Review

Tuesday, February 27

Augusta 3 @ Florida 6

After falling behind 3-0 in the game, Augusta rallied to the tie contest on goals by Brian Passmore, J.B. Bittner, and Sean Blanchard. Florida responded with three straight power play goals in the third period to win going away.

Friday, March 2

Augusta 2 vs Florida 1

A much tighter defensive contest favored the Lynx as they earned a 2-1 win over the Everblades on Friday night. Joe Pereira and Aaron Slattengren moved the Lynx ahead 2-0 in the second period, while Dustin Johner scored late to close the gap to a goal. Despite a late Florida surge, the Lynx held on for the victory. Dave McKee made 26 saves for the win.

Saturday, March 3

Augusta 2 vs Charlotte 1

Daymen Rycroft cashed in on an opportunity just 4:43 into the game to boost the Checkers to a 1-0 lead, but the Lynx would chip away at the advantage, starting with Louis Goulet's tip-in from Shane Hynes at 15:38 of the first period, followed by Hynes' goal from beside the Checkers' net at 1:40 of the second, the eventual game winner. From there both teams would have several scoring opportunities, but each goaltender was sharp. Dave McKee ended the night with 31 saves for the win, his 25th of the year.
