Condors Notch Another Home Win, Then Take Four Of Six Points In Alaska
March 5, 2007 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors notched another victory against the Phoenix RoadRunners Tuesday at home before starting their nine-game road trip in fine fashion, earning four of a possible six points in Alaska. All four games last week ended in a shootout or overtime, as the Condors went 2-0-2 in the process.
The Condors battled the RoadRunners Tuesday night, taking a 5-4 shootout victory before heading up north for a big three-game series against the Alaska Aces, who boast the best record in the ECHL. Bakersfield trailed in all three games against the Aces, but fought back each time to force the extra session. On Friday, the Condors rallied late to force a shootout, but ultimately fell 3-2. Saturday proved to be very similar, as Bakersfield again rallied late to send the game into the shootout, but fell 5-4. On Sunday, the Condors erased an early 2-0 deficit, but this time finished off the Aces, beating them 3-2 in overtime. The Condors are 33-13-10 on the season, including 20-7-2 at The Nest. The Condors match-up with the Utah Grizzlies on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday this week as they continue their nine-game road trip. All games in Utah will begin at 6:05 p.m. (PST).
