CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have had defenseman Reid Cashman recalled by the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL). The club will have defenseman Jason Jozsa reassigned to it also.
Cashman, 26, is in his third professional season and had appeared in Cincinnati's first nine games of the season. He collected a goal and nine assists for ten points. Reid ranks second among ECHL defensemen in scoring (ten points) and assists (nine). He also ranks third among league rearguards with six power play assists and seven power play points. He appeared in 18 games (two goals, four assists for six points) with Wilkes-Barre last season.
Jozsa, 28, played in four games with Milwaukee after being recalled from the Cyclones. Jason has already played in three games for Cincinnati this season.
Cashman is the sixth Cyclones player to earn an AHL promotion this season, after 17 players earned the nod to the AHL last year. In the three-plus seasons that Chuck Weber has been the coach of the Cyclones, 54 players have earned promotions to the AHL.
