Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye announced today that the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL have assigned forward Bryan Ewing to Toledo.

The native of Wheeling, West Virginia, has appeared in 9 games this season with the IceHogs scoring one goal while adding one assist.

In his first professional season (2008-09) he split time with Wheeling (ECHL) and Wilkes-Barre Scranton (AHL). Bryan finished last season second in scoring for the entire ECHL with 91 points (43 goals, 48 assists). That led him to an appearance in the 2009 ECHL All-Star game, and also led Ewing to being named 2008-09 CCM ECHL Rookie of the Year.

Bryan also collected 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists) in the 2009 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The 24 year old did not collect a point in 3 AHL contests.

Bryan played his college hockey at Boston University. In four years, he collected a total of 48 goals with 60 helpers. Ewing was runner-up for Hockey East MVP honors in 2007-08 and second team All-American that season. He is expected to be in the lineup as Toledo takes on Florida tonight in Estero.

Toledo will be on the home ice Friday November 20th against the Cincinnati Cyclones. Call 419-725-WALL or online www.toledowalleye.com for tickets.
