KELLY CUP EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTERFINALS - GAME 3

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Tonight the Cyclones will close out their 72-game regular season schedule with one last meeting against the Evansville IceMen. Cincinnati ran its record to 8-3-1 against their Hoosier State foes with the OT triumph last night and hope to close out its 13 game season series with another "W." While this Saturday night match-up has no effect on the standings or playoff position, it will serve as a final tune-up for Jarrod Skalde's team before meeting Toledo in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals next weekend.

TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT PRESENTED BY U.S. BANK - Fans can enjoy $1 John Morrell Hot Dogs, Donatos Pizza, and Soda! Plus, we'll be giving away TONS of great prizes all night long! And after the game, we'll be auctioning off the Cyclones Warm-Up Jersesys to benefit Carpe Diem!

SCOUTING THE ICEMEN: Rich Kromm's club has struggled mightily down the stretch, winning just two games so far in the month of March. With Todd Robinson leaving the team a few weeks, Dylan Clarke is now Evansville's leading scorer - posting 52 points (25 goals, 27 assists) in 65 games; he certainly lived up to the billing last night, posting two goals and two assists in a losing effort. Clarke has put his name on the score sheet 12 times this season against the Cyclones. And as Paul Karpowich and Paul Dainton still remain in the AHL, James Reid will get the another start tonight for the IceMen. So far in 14 ECHL games this season, he has gone 3-8-1-1 with a 4.26 goals-against average.

About Last Night vs. Evansville: The Cyclones earned a thrilling 5-4 comeback win over the IceMen in front of 4,794 at U.S. Bank Arena. Mike Embach capped off a three-point effort with the game-winning goal just 1:36 into the extra period. Trevor Lewis also contributed four points (1g, 3a). It's was the third game in a row that Embach has lit the lamp for Cincinnati.

We're Goin' Fishin': After last night's results around the ECHL, the Cyclones first round opponent has been decided. The Toledo Walleye will battle Cincinnati beginning next weekend in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. This year's opening round will be a best-of-seven series. Game 1 is slated for Friday, April 5 at 7:35pm at Huntington Center.

"Mac" Returns: After spending more than three weeks with San Antonio, defenseman David MacDonald has returned to the Cincinnati blue line. This season, the 26-year-old ranks second among Cyclones rear guards in scoring (22 points).

Award Winning Rookie: Earlier this week, Cyclones rookie forward David Pacan was named to the 2012-13 All-Rookie Team. It's the second year in a row and fourth time in club history that a Cincinnati player has taken home this accolade. Pacan has amassed 52 points in 57 games this year.

Rule of Three: When the Cyclones have held their opponents to less than three goals, they've been nearly impossible to beat. They're 36-6-4-2 this season in such situations. As of today, Cincy has earned the fifth-best team defense in the ECHL..allowing an average of 2.67 goals per game.
