
Road Warriors Finish Regular Season with Loss

Gwinnett, GA: The Gwinnett Gladiators defeated the Road Warriors by a 4-1 score in the last game of the 2012-2013 regular season.
Forward Justin Bowers put the Gladiators on the board with a blistering wrist shot that beat Connor Knapp glove high. With the goal, Bowers collected his 18th of the year. Tristin Llewellyn made it a two goal lead with a quick shot at the point that found the net. Bowers collected an assist on the goal for his second point of the game.
The Road Warriors found their way on the board with Brendan Connolly's 24th of the year. Chad Ziegler intercepted a clearing pass and drove the puck quickly to the net. Danny Hobbs attempted a shot but Connolly finished the job to bring the score to a 2-1 Gladiators lead.
The Road Warriors held Gwinnett scoreless until six minutes left when two goals were scored to extend the lead. Joey Haddad deflected a Sacha Guimond shot from the point for his 19th of year. The Gladiators took a 4-1 lead with Casey Pierro-Zabotel scoring his 22nd of the year. The Gladiators 4-1 win clinched a South Division Title and the third playoff seed. Louis Domingue saved 19 of 20 shots for the victory. Knapp fell to 5-7-0 with 33 saves.
