Tonight's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls (24-38-2-7) hit the road to take on the Bakersfield Condors (22-43-2-4), tonight, at Rabobank Arena. This is the 12th and final meeting between these two teams this season, with the Bulls holding the edge in the season series 6-4-0-1. Tonight's contest is the final game of the regular season.

Last night San Francisco lost to the Idaho Steelheads 5-0. It was an extremely chippy game, with the two teams combining for 74 penalty minutes. Idaho scored a goal in the first, another in the second, and then put the game out of reach with three in the third. The Steelheads held the edge in shots 37-23.

On Friday it was announced that the Bulls would be getting back forward Tommy Grant and goalie Thomas Heemskerk. Both had been with the Worcester Sharks of the AHL, and have been reassigned to San Francisco by the San Jose Sharks. In five games with the Bulls this season Grant has one goal and four assists. Heemskerk, the starter for much of the season, remains the Bulls leader in wins, GAA, and save percentage. Grant rejoined the team for last night's contest, and Heemskerk returns tonight against Bakersfield.

The two make their returns just prior to the final playoff rosters being set, which are due Monday, April 1. The roster will consist of 21 players, and two goalies. Only those named on the final roster are eligible to play in the playoffs.

Bakersfield is in ninth place in the Western Conference with 50 points, and has been eliminated from playoff contention. San Francisco is locked into the eighth seed in the Western Conference with 57 points.

With tonight marking the end of the regular season, the Bulls now shift their focus to their first playoff appearance in team history. It begins with a first round matchup against the Western Conference champion Alaska Aces. The series is a best of seven, 2-3-2 format. The series gets underway April 5 and 6 in Alaska, and returns to the Cow Palace on April 11, 12, and if necessary, 13.
