THROWBACK NIGHT / TEDDY BEAR TOSS

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Riding a five-game point scoring streak, the Cyclones are back to action tonight after the Christmas break with the first of four straight on the road. First up, a battle with the Evansville IceMen. Cincinnati has won two of the three match-ups with their Hoosier State foes, out-scoring them by a 14-7 margin. However, each of the last two meetings have been decided by a single goal.

SCOUTING THE ICEMEN: Jeff Pyle's club has been neck-and-neck with the Cyclones all season long. Thanks in part to a tremendous home record of 9-2-0-1, the IceMen sit just two points back of Cincinnati in the North Division standings and currently hold the fifth seed in the East. Jeremy Langlois has been the biggest weapon for Evansville, notching 22 points (9 goals, 13 assists) in 17 games this year while Matt Schepke and Nathan Moon are tied with 21 points apiece. Goaltender Garrett Bartus has become the workhorse for his team, starting in six consecutive games. In total, he has amassed a 3-4-1-1 record with a 3.20 goals-against average.

About Last Saturday Night vs. Elmira: Less than 24 hours after shutting out the Jackals, the Cyclones scored four goals in the final period and overtime session to rally and defeat their Big Apple State foes by a 5-4 final score in front of 3,485 at U.S. Bank Arena. Like last night, five different Cyclones scored in the victory, giving the team their seventh come-from-behind win of the season. Fresh off his impressive win, goaltender Joe Howe stood strong in net, turning aside 29 of the 33 shots he faced.

Movin' On Up: Having posted points in four of his last five games, Cyclones rookie Logan Shaw finds himself creeping up the ECHL rookie scoring list. He ranks seventh among all first-year players.

Bonus Hockey Beauties: Cincinnati's win in overtime on last Saturday was their seventh in the extra session this season. With a 7-2 mark, they have garnered the most OT/SO points of any team in the ECHL (16) and have played the second most such games in the league.

At Home on the Road: The Clones have found great success playing away from U.S. Bank Arena this season. Their 9-3-0-1 road record is among the best in the ECHL. In fact, only three other teams have earned more points as the visiting team this season.
