Coming off the holiday break to commence a three-game road swing, the Kalamazoo Wings will travel to the Santander Arena to battle the Reading Royals. Tonight is the first of two straight games between the teams. On the season, the K-Wings are 1-0-0-0 versus the Royals. After tonight the teams will meet six more times.
Kalamazoo headed into the holiday break with 2-1 victory at Wings Stadium over the Toledo Walleye. The K-Wings travel to the Santander Arena looking to extend a streak. Kalamazoo has won a season-high five straight road games.
Reading returned from the holiday break last night with a 6-2 victory on the road against the Elmira Jackals. The defending Kelly Cup Champions are starting to heat up as they enter this evening on a three-game winning streak. On the season, the Royals are 5-7-0-0 at the Santander Arena.

Strong Between the Pipes Goaltender Jordan Binnington has been finding ways to win. Binnington has recorded victories in four out his last five starts, including in past two starts where he has earned a 0.96 goals-against-average and a 0.951 save percentage.
Killing Time
Kalamazoo's penalty killing has been outstanding. The K-Wings have killed off 40 out their opponents last 41 power-play attempts, including 23 in a row.
Making it Count
Forward Eric Kattelus scored two goals last week and both turned out to be game-winners. Kattelus shares the K-Wings team-lead with two game-winners this season with forwards Aaron Clarke and Yanni Gourde.
Road Trip
Kalamazoo will hit the holiday road starting this Friday to battle the Reading Royals and to continue a streak. The K-Wings will be looking to extend their season-high five-game road winning streak.
