NEXT HOME GAME

Cincinnati's Largest Fish Fry / Kids Jersey T-Shirt Night: Fans can enjoy a pre game Fish Fry on the outer plaza at U.S. Bank Arena prior to the game including $1 Beers! Plus, the first 1,500 fans ages 2-12 through the gates will receive a FREE Cyclones Kids Jersey T-Shirt courtesy of The Plastic Surgery Group!

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Tonight the Cyclones will play the final road game of the regular season as they face-off against the Chicago Express. With both teams tied at 75 points apiece, the winner of tonight's tilt will be on the inside of the playoff bubble looking out, while the loser will be one game closer to elimination. Against their Windy City rivals in 2011-12, the Cyclones have accumulated a 7-4-3 record but have gone winless in five of seven meetings at Sears Centre.

SCOUTING THE EXPRESS: Steve Martinson's club has gotten hot at the right time, winning six of their previous ten games to keep their postseason aspirations alive. What's even more surprising is that they've enjoyed the surge despite being without their top scorer. Tyler Donati, who has missed the last month due to injury, still remains on the shelf after posting 61 points in 46 games. In his absence, Pierre-Luc Faubert has taken over the scoring lead, amassing 44 points (19 goals, 25 assists) in 69 games. Against the Cyclones this year, Faubert has lit the lamp four times and has added four assists. Chicago has been a goaltending carousel this season, with six different backstops tending the pipes. Of late, the Express have relied on rookie Rob Madore; in nine appearances this season, he has posted a 6-3-0-1 record and a 2.56 goals-against average. Last Wednesday, he allowed four goals on 28 Cincinnati shots in a 4-2 loss at U.S. Bank Arena..

About Sunday Afternoon in Kalamazoo: After the Cyclones took an early 1-0 lead, the Wings scored six unanswered goals to defeat the Cyclones by a 6-1 final score in front of 3,468 at Wings Stadium. Mathieu Aubin tallied the lone goal in the game as Cincinnati finished its season series against Kalamazoo with a record of 5-7-2.

Eastern Conference Playoff Race: The top eight teams at season's end earn a Kelly Cup Playoff bid.

Power Surge: This season, the Clones have had tremendous success against the Express when on the power play. Cincinnati has converted on 13 of 66 man-advantages against versus Chicago this year (19.7%). Not surprisingly, they have had more power play chances against Chicago than any team on their schedule.

The Return of Vaive: After being without his services since February 18, Cyclones forward Justin Vaive has been reassigned to the club from the San Antonio Rampage. This year in a Cyclones jersey, Vaive posted 18 points in 37 games. During his first-career AHL call up, he logged ice time in 15 games without a point and 10 PIM.
