
Colorado's Ulanski Wins ECHL Sportsmanship Award

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Wednesday announced that Kevin Ulanski of the Colorado Eagles is the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award for 2011-12 as determined in a vote of ECHL coaches, broadcasters, media relations directors and media members.
The award is presented annually to the player who is judged to have exhibited the best sportsmanship combined with a high standard of playing ability.
Trent Daavettila of Kalamazoo finished second, followed by Greenville's Justin Bowers, Chad Costello of Colorado and Las Vegas' Mike Madill .
Ulanski, who is tied for the league lead with seven game-winning goals, is second on Colorado with 63 points and third with 24 goals, while being assessed just 20 penalty minutes in 53 games. The 29-year-old has 114 points (40g-74a) in 156 career ECHL games with Long Beach, Phoenix, Elmira and Colorado.
