Preview: Chicago Express (32-26-7-4, 75pts) vs. Cincinnati Cyclones (33-27-2-7, 75 points)
When: Puck drops at 7:00 pm, doors open at 6:00 pm
Where: Sears Centre Arena - 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192
Tonight's Matchup:
Chicago and Cincinnati, along with Reading, enter the contest tied for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs for the second straight week. The two clubs met up under similar circumstances last Wednesday in Cincinnati, with the Cyclones taking home a 4-1 victory. Since that loss, however, the Express collected back-to-back victories over the North Division-leading Kalamazoo Wings, and capped off the weekend by downing the Walleye 3-1. The Cyclones had rattled off three straight victories as well, before having their streak ended with a 6-1 defeat to Kalamazoo on Sunday. Chicago and Cincinnati will still meet one final time, as the Express head to Cincinnati for each team's final regular season game on Saturday.
Express Notes:
Chicago did not take a single penalty during their last game. It was the first time in club history that the team was not penalized during a game... D Taylor Ellington has a three game goal streak... The Express are 5-1-1 at home against the Cyclones... F Ryley Grantham is on a three game point streak, including two goals and two assists during that span.
