Trenton, N.J. - Artem Demkov connected on the power play in overtime on Wednesday night at the Sun National Bank Center, giving the Elmira Jackals (44-22-2-2) a 2-1 victory over the Trenton Titans (21-39-4-6) and extending the club's winning streak to six games.

Mike Radja put in a rebound off a Mario Larocque shot at 3:28 of the opening period, giving the Jackals a 1-0 lead.

Working on Trenton's sixth power-play chance of the game, Ray DiLauro wristed a shot in through a screen from the right point to tie the game up, 1-1, at 19:52 of the second.

After a scoreless third period, the teams skated into overtime. Dustin Gazley drew a power play by stickhandling to the slot, giving Elmira a chance with an extra man late in the session. On the advantage, Demkov took a feed from Mario Larocque and drove home a shot from the left circle at 4:03, lifting the Jackals past the Titans, 2-1.

Elmira remained one point behind Gwinnett for first place in the Eastern Conference with two games remaining, as the Gladiators defeated the Florida Everblades on Wednesday, 2-0. The Jackals ended their four-game road trip with four victories.
